# CLEANING SERVICES AGREEMENT
Date: 22 August 2029
Parties: Maple & Mint Cleaning Ltd and David Okafor
## 1. Parties and purpose
Maple & Mint Cleaning Ltd (Company No. 14188309) will clean David Okafor’s home at 26 Beech Road, Birmingham B13 8QL every Thursday from 09:00 to 11:00, starting 5 September 2029. The provider is an independent business and this agreement does not create employment between David and its cleaners.
## 2. Scope, price and subject
The standard service covers vacuuming, hard-floor mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning, kitchen surfaces and appliance exteriors. Windows, oven interiors, laundry and moving heavy furniture are excluded unless booked as additional services at the quoted rate.
## 3. Operating duties
The charge is £34 per two-hour visit, invoiced monthly in arrears and paid by BACS within seven days. Oven cleaning is £40 and ironing £18 per hour with 48 hours’ booking. Maple & Mint may review prices on 30 days’ notice; David may reject the change by ending the service before it takes effect.
## 4. Compliance, records and controls
David provides a key in a sealed key safe and does not disclose the alarm code unless necessary. Maple & Mint records key access, returns keys within two days after termination and reports loss immediately. Cleaners use COSHH-compliant products supplied by the company; David must identify allergies, delicate surfaces and hazards.
## 5. Term, ending and remedies
Maple & Mint maintains £1 million public-liability insurance and employer’s liability cover where required, trains staff and takes reasonable care. A Basic DBS check for the named cleaner was completed on 1 August 2029, but a DBS check is not a guarantee of suitability or a substitute for David’s safeguarding judgment.
## 6. Liability and reservations
Either party may terminate on four weeks’ written notice; either may terminate immediately for theft, violence, serious damage, unsafe access or material breach. For a domestic consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 implied reasonable-care and skill standard applies, and any unfair term or mandatory cancellation right prevails over this example.
## 7. Governing law and signatures
English law governs and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer remedies and any applicable ADR route. David and Maple & Mint director Grace Turner sign on 22 August 2029. No cleaner may take photographs of personal papers or use David’s home information for unrelated purposes.
