# EMPLOYMENT COUNTER-OFFER LETTER
Date: 12 April 2031
Parties: Northmoor Foods Limited and Hannah Lee
## 1. Purpose and parties
Northmoor Foods Limited offered Hannah Lee the role of Procurement Manager on 5 April 2031, with a £58,000 salary, three-month probation and proposed start date of 10 May. Hannah is pleased to be selected but sends this counter-offer rather than accepting the offer as written.
## 2. Facts, scope and terms
Hannah proposes a base salary of £63,000, a 17 May start date, two days per week working from the Leeds office and one agreed home-working day, while accepting the proposed holiday, pension and reporting line. She asks for a written statement confirming whether the bonus is contractual or discretionary.
## 3. Process and responsibilities
This is a new proposal for Northmoor to consider, not an acceptance with an added term. No employment contract arises from this letter alone. If Northmoor accepts, the parties must agree the job description, salary, working pattern, probation, notice, confidentiality, intellectual property and any pre-employment checks in a written contract.
## 4. Evidence, records and safeguards
Hannah explains that the later start date allows her to complete notice to her current employer and that the salary reflects her procurement qualification and team-management experience. She encloses a CV and qualification evidence but does not disclose her present employer's confidential information.
## 5. Review, escalation and outcome
Northmoor may accept, reject or make a further counter-offer. Hannah asks for a response by 19 April 2031 and will keep her existing employment until terms are agreed. Neither the proposed salary nor this deadline guarantees appointment, bonus, visa sponsorship or reimbursement of resignation costs.
## 6. Reservations and practical protections
Any agreed arrangement must comply with the Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations and National Minimum Wage legislation. The parties will not treat negotiation as a reason to discriminate or retaliate. Hannah may obtain advice and may withdraw this counter-offer before acceptance unless Northmoor has given consideration for an irrevocable promise.
## 7. England and Wales law and completion
England and Wales law applies to the negotiations. Hannah sends the signed letter on 12 April 2031 by email to recruitment@northmoor.example and post to Northmoor House, Leeds LS2 8AB as separate permitted delivery methods. Northmoor's signature block is for acceptance only if it expressly says so.
