# CREDIT REPORT DISPUTE LETTER

Date: 12 January 2029

Parties: Oliver Reed and Meridian Card Services Ltd

## 1. Status of this document

I am Oliver Reed of 8 Alder Street, Nottingham NG7 3PL. This letter disputes the information supplied by Meridian Card Services Ltd about account ending 4418, shown by Northstar Credit Reference as a default of £2,184 dated 14 September 2028.

## 2. Parties and subject

The entry is inaccurate: I paid the balance on 30 August 2028 after Meridian accepted my payment-plan proposal, and the account statement dated 2 September shows a zero balance. I have never received a compliant default notice for the amount now reported.

## 3. Facts and request

I enclose the statement, bank confirmation for the £2,184 transfer, Meridian's 24 August email, and the credit-file extract. The bank reference and account identifier are partly redacted, but sufficient for verification; I can provide originals through a secure channel.

## 4. Evidence and checks

Please investigate the accuracy and lawfulness of processing and, while checking, add a Notice of Correction or suppress the disputed entry where appropriate. If the evidence confirms the account was settled, rectify or erase the default and notify each recipient to whom the inaccurate data was disclosed.

## 5. Procedure and deadline

I rely on UK GDPR Article 5(1)(d) accuracy and Article 16 rectification. I do not assert that Article 17 automatically requires deletion where a lawful retention obligation applies; please explain any refusal and identify the applicable retention basis.

## 6. Rights and remedies

Please respond within one month of receiving the information needed to verify my identity. If unresolved I may complain to the ICO, use any lender complaints and Financial Ombudsman route available, or seek a court declaration and damages; those options and limitation periods should not be assumed from this letter.

## 7. Records and signature

Please treat this as a formal data-accuracy complaint, not an admission of any debt. I request a written outcome, an updated file entry or reasons, and the name of the responsible data-protection contact. Signed 12 January 2029.
