# CRYPTO SCAM REPORT LETTER

Date: 22 March 2037

Parties: Marcus Bell, Northshire Bank and Action Fraud

## 1. Purpose and parties

I report that on 15 March 2037 I was deceived by a website presenting itself as SterlingPeak Exchange. After a telephone call from a person claiming to be an investment adviser, I made three faster payments totalling £18,400 from my Northshire Bank account to accounts supplied by the fraudster.

## 2. Facts, scope and terms

The website then demanded a further tax payment before withdrawal and became unavailable. I did not knowingly authorise payment to a fraudster and reported the matter to the bank on 19 March. Please recall or freeze funds where possible, investigate under the applicable authorised push payment reimbursement rules and give me a case reference.

## 3. Process and responsibilities

I have preserved screenshots, wallet addresses, messages, telephone numbers, payment confirmations and the website URL. Please provide the information required for Action Fraud and any relevant exchange or regulator notification. I make no admission about the ultimate recovery and understand that reimbursement depends on the applicable rules and facts.

## 4. Evidence, records and safeguards

The parties should retain the relevant contract, notice, invoices, records and correspondence, and restrict access to personal or confidential information to those who need it. The stated amounts and dates are fictional worked-example facts and require checking against source records.

## 5. Review, escalation and outcome

If the issue is not resolved, the parties should identify the appropriate next step, which may include an internal process, mediation, court or regulator. Silence or part performance is not treated as acceptance or waiver.

## 6. Reservations and practical protections

This document is a general fictional example, not individual legal advice and not a guarantee of eligibility, liability or outcome. Where necessary, an independent professional should check the facts and current law.

## 7. England and Wales law and completion

This completed fictional sample is made on the date above under the law of England and Wales and subject to mandatory protections. It does not exclude any right, liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
