# SAMPLE DATA ERASURE REQUEST

Date: 3 June 2029

Parties: Maya Singh and Moorland Digital Limited

## 1. Applicant and subject

Maya Singh of 6 Orchard Yard, York YO10 4LP asks Moorland Digital Limited to erase personal data relating to her customer account MD-4421 under Article 17 UK GDPR. She makes the request to the published data-protection contact.

## 2. Scope of request

The request covers the marketing profile, old delivery addresses, abandoned-cart records and copied identity documents no longer needed for an open dispute. It does not seek deletion of a transaction record that Moorland must lawfully retain.

## 3. Facts and reasons

Maya asks Moorland to stop direct marketing while the request is considered and to notify processors or recipients where required. She understands erasure is subject to legal obligations, freedom of expression and establishment or defence of legal claims.

## 4. Identity and information

Moorland may request proportionate identity evidence. Maya will use the secure portal and will not send an unredacted passport by ordinary email. Moorland should identify the categories deleted, retained and the lawful reason for retention.

## 5. Response method

Please acknowledge promptly and respond within the UK GDPR period, explaining any extension. If no response or an exemption is disputed, Maya may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

## 6. Deadline and remedies

The request does not withdraw consent for unrelated processing where another lawful basis applies, and does not require Moorland to erase anonymised information that no longer identifies her.

## 7. Signature and records

Maya signs on 3 June 2029 and keeps the submission receipt. The request is governed by UK data-protection law and does not waive any compensation or access right.
