# EMPLOYMENT REFERENCE DISPUTE LETTER
Date: 21 June 2038
Parties: To: Fenwick Logistics Ltd, HR Director, 40 Canal Road, Birmingham B5 7AA; From: Oliver Bennett, 6 Ash Grove, Birmingham B29 3RT
## 1. Addressee and reference
Fenwick Logistics Ltd, HR Director, 40 Canal Road, Birmingham B5 7AA. I, Oliver Bennett of 6 Ash Grove, Birmingham B29 3RT, understand that HR supplied Westmoor Retail Ltd with a reference on 2 June 2038.
## 2. Specific inaccuracy and chronology
The reference allegedly said I was dismissed for misconduct. I resigned on 14 March 2038 and Fenwick accepted that resignation on 15 March; there was no disciplinary dismissal. My resignation email and acceptance are enclosed.
## 3. Consequences and legal basis
Westmoor made a written offer for Operations Coordinator at £36,000 per year on 28 May 2038, then withdrew it on 9 June after receiving the reference; its email is enclosed. A reference should be prepared with reasonable care, but whether any duty, breach, causation or loss exists is fact-sensitive and not admitted by this letter.
## 4. Requested remedy and deadline
Within 10 days, by 1 July 2038, please confirm the statement was inaccurate, send Westmoor a corrected factual reference recording resignation rather than dismissal, and provide me a copy. Please preserve HR notes, the reference, metadata and correspondence. I invite a discussion of documented losses after correction.
## 5. Status, evidence and signature
Enclosures are the resignation and acceptance emails, the Westmoor offer and withdrawal emails, and the reference feedback. Please acknowledge receipt and identify your data-protection contact; I will check current limitation and tribunal or court routes before taking any step. Oliver Bennett — signed 21 June 2038.
