# ENHANCED MATERNITY PAY LETTER

Date: 1 July 2038

Parties: Harbour Arts Trust and Emily Reed

## 1. Addressee and entitlement

To Emily Reed from Harbour Arts Trust. Subject: contractual enhanced maternity pay. This confirmation is dated 1 July 2038 and records the Trust's policy-based arrangement; it does not decide Emily's leave dates before the required notice is received.

## 2. Expected date and paid periods

Emily's expected week of childbirth begins on 10 October 2038. Subject to the policy and eligibility checks, the Trust will pay normal full pay for 16 weeks, followed by half normal pay for 12 weeks.

## 3. Statutory payment and payroll

Statutory Maternity Pay for the same period is included and offset so that the combined payment does not exceed normal pay. Payroll will explain the applicable statutory calculation, lawful deductions and the treatment of any payment that is not due.

## 4. Notice, evidence and return

Emily must provide the required maternity notice and MATB1 evidence so that payroll can confirm the actual dates. The Trust will keep her informed about return-to-work options and will apply pension treatment under the scheme rules; no current statutory rate or eligibility is assumed here.

## 5. Status and sign-off

The arrangement remains subject to the written policy, eligibility verification and any lawful amendment to the employment terms. Emily may raise a calculation question with HR before payroll is run. For Harbour Arts Trust, HR, 1 July 2038.
