# EXAMPLE: GARDEN LEAVE NOTICE

Date: 1 May 2028

From: Lantern Field Technologies Limited

To: Daniel Wong

## 1. Facts

From Lantern Field Technologies Limited, 14 King Street, Bristol BS1 4QP, to Daniel Wong, Head of Partnerships, dated 1 May 2028.

## 2. Decision

We accept your resignation dated 30 April 2028. Your contractual three-month notice runs to 31 July 2028, but you will remain on garden leave from 2 May and must not perform work unless we request it.

## 3. Reasons

You will receive basic salary and contractual benefits in the normal payroll, subject to lawful deductions. You remain employed and bound by confidentiality, intellectual-property, data-security and conflict duties.

## 4. Process and rights

During garden leave do not contact customers, partners, suppliers or staff about Lantern business, solicit business or represent that you act for Lantern. You may undertake other work only with written consent and where it does not conflict.

## 5. Records and continuing matters

By 3 May return the laptop, access card and partnership files, and send a handover note for the Alder and Juniper accounts. Do not delete or forward records; Lantern will preserve access needed for an orderly handover.

## 6. Closing

People Team will confirm your final salary, 7.5 days' accrued holiday and treatment of the 2028 commission plan separately. You must remain reachable on business days and notify us of a change of address.

## 7. Acknowledgement

The restrictions end when employment ends except for obligations stated to survive. If you believe the notice or restrictions are inaccurate, respond by 8 May; this letter does not waive any statutory right. Yours sincerely, Harriet Cole, People Director: ____________________.
