# JOB OFFER WITHDRAWAL LETTER

Date: 20 September 2034

Parties: Redwood Cybersecurity Ltd and Marcus Green

## 1. Purpose and parties

Redwood Cybersecurity Ltd, company number 15264009, of 3 Atlas Square, London EC2A 4NE, writes to Marcus Green on 20 September 2034 about its conditional offer dated 2 September for the role of security analyst, with a proposed start date of 7 October 2034.

## 2. Facts, scope and terms

The offer was subject to satisfactory right-to-work verification, references and a basic DBS check, and asked Marcus to accept by 23 September. Redwood has decided not to proceed with the proposed hire because the funded role has been removed; this is not a statement that Marcus failed any check.

## 3. Process and responsibilities

Redwood therefore withdraws the offer before the stated acceptance deadline and asks Marcus not to resign from other employment or incur relocation costs in reliance on it. On the information held, Marcus has not accepted the offer and no employment has started, but Redwood will review promptly if he says otherwise.

## 4. Evidence, records and safeguards

Redwood apologises for the inconvenience and will reimburse £180 of pre-approved travel expenses incurred for the final interview, on receipt of the claim by 4 October. It will not charge Marcus for recruitment or screening costs and has not taken a deposit or other payment.

## 5. Review, escalation and outcome

Marcus's application and verification information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary under Redwood's retention policy and legal obligations, then securely deleted or anonymised. Any identity documents will be handled with appropriate access controls; Marcus may contact privacy@redwood.example about his personal data rights.

## 6. Reservations and practical protections

Please confirm receipt by email, although no response is required to make the withdrawal effective. If Marcus believes he accepted before this letter or has another written agreement, he should send it to HR so Redwood can investigate; nothing here admits liability or waives any statutory right.

## 7. England and Wales law and completion

This completed fictional letter is governed by England and Wales law. It is a recruitment communication, not advice on an employment claim, and Redwood will not describe Marcus's application outcome to a third party beyond a lawful, accurate reference.
