# NOISE AND ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR COMPLAINT LETTER

Date: 6 January 2029

Parties: Maya Singh and Westborough Council Environmental Health

## 1. Status of this document

I, Maya Singh of 12 Foxglove Close, Leeds LS8 4QJ, write about repeated amplified music and shouting from Flat 8, 14 Foxglove Close, occupied by Tom Reddin. This is a factual complaint, not a finding that Mr Reddin has committed an offence.

## 2. Parties and subject

Between 10 November and 3 January, noise was audible inside my bedroom on 19 nights, usually from 23:30 to 02:00. On 21 December music continued until 04:10; on 29 December bass caused picture frames to vibrate. My six-year-old daughter has repeatedly woken and I have missed early shifts.

## 3. Facts and request

I attach a dated log, two short recordings made from inside my home, and emails to the building manager. I have not entered the flat or recorded private conversations. The managing agent, Northgate Lettings, confirmed on 18 December that a warning was sent.

## 4. Evidence and checks

I ask Environmental Health to assess whether the evidence may amount to a statutory noise nuisance and to explain its investigation process. Please also ask Northgate to check the tenancy's nuisance covenant and any building quiet-hours rule.

## 5. Procedure and deadline

Please acknowledge this letter within 10 working days and tell me whether an officer needs access to install monitoring equipment. I will cooperate with reasonable visits and keep the log, but cannot promise that every incident will be recorded.

## 6. Rights and remedies

If the disturbance continues I may request a formal abatement notice, use the council's complaints procedure, or seek advice about a private nuisance claim or injunction. I understand that the council has discretion and that this letter does not itself create an abatement notice or prove liability.

## 7. Records and signature

Please keep my address and recordings securely and do not disclose them beyond those who need them for the investigation. I sign this open complaint on 6 January 2029 and certify that the account is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
