# NUISANCE CALLS COMPLAINT

Date: 3 March 2033

Parties: Sofia Bennett and Oakline Telecom Ltd

## 1. Purpose and parties

I, Sofia Bennett of 52 Larch Road, Norwich NR3 2QL, complain to Oakline Telecom Ltd about repeated marketing calls to my Oakline number ending 4418. I am the subscriber and user. The calls occurred between 6 February and 1 March 2033 and were not emergency or service calls.

## 2. Facts, scope and terms

My call log records 17 calls from six numbers, including 01603 555210 and 020 7946 0831. Seven were silent or disconnected within ten seconds; on four occasions the caller offered energy comparison services and did not clearly state the business at the beginning. I answered twice and asked not to be called again on 9 February and 22 February.

## 3. Process and responsibilities

I opted out of Oakline's marketing in the online account on 5 January 2033 and have never given permission to share this number with comparison businesses. If Oakline relies on consent, please identify its date, wording, source and withdrawal record. If a third party is responsible, please explain the relevant controller or processor relationship rather than disclosing another customer's data.

## 4. Evidence, records and safeguards

I attach screenshots showing dates, times and numbers, a copy of the 5 January settings page, and notes made immediately after the calls. Please preserve relevant call recordings, suppression-list entries, campaign records and supplier instructions. My evidence does not prove every caller's identity, so I ask Oakline to investigate without treating the number display alone as conclusive.

## 5. Review, escalation and outcome

Please place 01603 555210, 020 7946 0831 and any associated marketing profile on the appropriate suppression list, confirm that my number will not be used for unsolicited direct marketing, and tell me how Oakline verifies suppression across contractors. Blocking a displayed number may not stop spoofed calls, so I also ask for practical advice and network-level options.

## 6. Reservations and practical protections

Please acknowledge this complaint by 10 March and give a substantive response within the provider's published complaints process, including the outcome, data source, lawful basis relied on and remedy. If unresolved, I may use Oakline's escalation route and, where applicable, an ADR scheme after the required period; I may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, without asserting that any regulator must award compensation.

## 7. England and Wales law and completion

This completed fictional complaint is dated 3 March 2033 and concerns communications in England and Wales. It is not a finding of breach or a demand for a fixed payment. Oakline should comply with applicable PECR and UK GDPR duties, keep my personal data secure, and distinguish marketing calls from calls I have expressly requested.
