# DEED OF DISCLAIMER OF INHERITANCE
Date: 2 May 2029
Parties: Eleanor Price
## 1. Maker and purpose
I, Eleanor Price of 3 Larch Avenue, Bath BA1 5RD, am a beneficiary under the will of my late father, Thomas Price, who died on 14 February 2029. This deed concerns only the testamentary gift described below and is not a general waiver of my estate rights.
## 2. Waiver or grant of rights
The gift is the freehold cottage known as 22 Orchard Lane, Frome BA11 2QH, Title No. ST448921, together with its contents, left to me by clause 6 of Thomas's will dated 9 June 2021.
## 3. Conditions and confirmations
I irrevocably disclaim that gift with effect before accepting it, selling it, taking income from it or directing the personal representatives how to deal with it. I have received no rent, insurance proceeds or sale deposit in respect of the cottage.
## 4. Property and liability
I understand that a disclaimer may cause the gift to pass under the will's substitution or residue provisions, not to the person I choose. My brother James Price is the residuary beneficiary, but this deed does not amount to a direction or assignment to him.
## 5. Term and effect
I confirm that I am not bankrupt, have not received a bankruptcy notice, and have not granted security over the gift. I have taken advice on the possible inheritance-tax and capital-gains consequences and understand that the personal representatives must obtain probate advice.
## 6. Legal reservations
This deed does not disclaim any separate life policy, jointly owned asset or intestacy entitlement. It is subject to the Insolvency Act 1986, Inheritance Tax Act 1984, the will and the court's jurisdiction, and it must not be used to evade creditors.
## 7. Execution as a deed
I sign and deliver this instrument as a deed on 2 May 2029 in the presence of an independent witness, intending it to be irrevocable. The witness signs and records their name and address; a copy is supplied to the executors for the probate file.
