# SCHOOL COMPLAINT LETTER

Date: 5 September 2029

Parties: Leah Morgan and Westbridge Community School

## 1. People, purpose and legal route

To the Headteacher and Chair of Governors, Westbridge Community School, 2 School Lane, Bristol BS5 2AA: I am Leah Morgan, parent of Noah Morgan (Year 8). This is a stage-one complaint about the handling and communication of a bullying incident reported on 12 June 2029.

## 2. Facts, scope and supporting evidence

Noah told his form tutor that three pupils repeatedly called him names and blocked his route home. I emailed the designated safeguarding lead on 12 and 19 June, but received no written acknowledgement until 4 July. Noah was then placed in the same unsupervised corridor at lunch and stopped attending the lunchtime club.

## 3. Requests, duties and safeguards

I request a clear chronology, confirmation of the school's anti-bullying and safeguarding response, the immediate safety plan, and an explanation of why my earlier messages were not acknowledged. Please do not disclose another child's personal data; a summary of action is sufficient.

## 4. Records, review and communication

The school should meet Noah privately, consider reasonable support and any special educational needs, record his wishes, and make a proportionate risk assessment. I am not asking for a predetermined sanction; I ask for a fair investigation, appropriate supervision and communication with both parents.

## 5. Time limits, escalation and outcome

Please preserve incident logs, emails, CCTV retention decisions and relevant attendance records. I consent to necessary UK GDPR processing for this complaint, but ask that information be shared only with staff and agencies who have a lawful need to know. Noah's welfare and safeguarding come first.

## 6. Reservations and practical protections

Please provide a written response within the published 10-school-day stage-one period, or explain any delay. If unresolved, I will use stage two and then the governing body's escalation route, while considering advice from the local authority or appropriate safeguarding body. This letter does not make a criminal allegation.

## 7. England and Wales law and signature

Service may be by hand, post or email to leah.morgan@example.co.uk as separate methods. Please acknowledge receipt and identify the investigating officer. Yours sincerely, Leah Morgan; copied to Noah's other parent with consent.
