# EXAMPLE: SECTION 21 NOTICE INFORMATION COVER
Date: 14 September 2028
Parties: Harbour Homes Limited and Aisha Rahman
## 1. Important status
This is an illustrative completed information/cover example, not a substitute for a prescribed statutory form or a legal notice. Before use, check the current law (including any changed or abolished procedure), eligibility, dates, service, deposit and licensing requirements, and the correct jurisdiction. The accompanying document intended for this worked example is Form 6A, the prescribed form historically used for a Section 21 notice in England. This cover does not itself give possession or replace Form 6A.
## 2. Parties and property
Landlord: Harbour Homes Limited, 8 Quayside Street, Bristol BS1 4RT. Tenant: Aisha Rahman. Property: Flat 6, 22 Meadow Lane, Bristol BS7 0QJ. Tenancy: an assured shorthold tenancy beginning 1 October 2026.
## 3. Notice or proposal
The notice information states that possession is sought after 30 November 2028, being at least the date specified in the separate prescribed document. Rent is £1,180 per calendar month, payable on the first day; the fixed term and any periodic succession must be checked before service.
## 4. Checks
Before any service decision, Harbour records its checks for deposit protection and prescribed information, gas-safety records, the energy performance certificate, the current How to Rent guide, property licensing and any restriction on serving a notice. The deposit of £1,350 was protected with Northbank Deposits on 8 October 2026.
## 5. Service and procedure
Service is proposed by first-class post and hand delivery to the property on 14 September 2028, with a certificate of service and copies retained. The landlord must use the contractually and legally valid method, allow the required period and account for any deemed-service rule.
## 6. Rights and remedies
This example does not decide whether Section 21 is available, valid or still available when used; legislation and commencement dates may change or abolish this route. A court claim, if any, requires the correct possession procedure and evidence, and self-help eviction is not permitted.
## 7. Signature and records
Harbour's authorised officer Daniel Price signs only the information cover: Signature ____________________ Date 14 September 2028. The tenant should obtain independent advice and may challenge validity, retaliatory conduct, licensing, deposit compliance or the calculation of the date.
