# SHARED PARENTAL LEAVE AGREEMENT

Date: 1 November 2029

Parties: Northmere Software Limited and Daniel Ward

## 1. Parties and purpose

Northmere Software Limited (Company No. 10772214), 8 Park Row, Leeds LS1 5AB, confirms Daniel Ward's entitlement to request Shared Parental Leave following the birth of his daughter on 14 September 2029. Daniel has given the required notice and declarations.

## 2. Money and rights

The mother, Priya Ward, has curtailed her statutory maternity leave and pay. Daniel will take three discontinuous blocks: 6 January–2 February 2030, 18 March–14 April 2030 and 3–16 June 2030, subject to the statutory eligibility and notice rules.

## 3. Duties and operation

Northmere approves the first and third blocks as requested and treats this document as confirmation of the agreed pattern. Any further notice or variation must be made in the prescribed form and within the statutory period; the Company may discuss alternatives but will not deter a lawful request.

## 4. Consent and management

During eligible weeks Daniel will receive Shared Parental Pay at the statutory rate or 90% of average weekly earnings where that is lower, subject to HMRC rules. Pension, holiday accrual, payroll deductions and benefits continue as required by law and the employment contract.

## 5. Ending and remedies

Daniel will attend two weeks of Shared Parental Leave in Touch days by mutual agreement, without obligation to work. Before each block the parties will confirm handover, contact arrangements, keeping-in-touch work and any health-and-safety issue.

## 6. Legal reservations

Daniel remains employed throughout leave and is protected from detriment, redundancy selection for a prohibited reason and dismissal because he exercised family-leave rights. He will return to his role or a suitable statutory alternative as required by the Maternity and Parental Leave Regulations 1999.

## 7. Signatures

This agreement records the approved arrangement and does not reduce statutory maternity, paternity, parental or flexible-working rights. England and Wales law applies; Daniel and Northmere sign, and HR retains the notices and eligibility evidence securely.
