# TENANCY EXTENSION REQUEST

Date: 10 August 2025

Parties: Tenant: Sophie Green, Flat 4, 22 Redcliffe Road, Bristol BS1 6QP. Landlord: Peter Lawson, 9 Hazel Avenue, Bristol BS7 8TW.

## 1. Existing tenancy and proposal

I ask you to consider a new fixed-term assured shorthold tenancy for Flat 4, 22 Redcliffe Road, Bristol BS1 6QP, from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. Our agreement dated 1 October 2024 currently ends on 30 September 2025. I propose rent of £1,325 per month, payable on the first day, compared with the present £1,250.

## 2. Payment and care record

I have paid all 11 monthly instalments due to 31 August 2025 on time by standing order, and the rent ledger is enclosed. The 15 July 2025 inspection recorded no tenant damage; I reported the repaired boiler fault on 3 June with photographs. I will continue to comply with the existing use, access and repair-reporting terms.

## 3. Deposit and compliance

The £1,440 deposit remains protected with the Deposit Protection Service under reference DPS-8842017, subject to any lawful transfer or re-protection required for a new agreement. Before signing, please confirm the prescribed information, EPC, gas-safety record and any current How to Rent guidance that must be supplied; current legal requirements should be checked.

## 4. Agreement and alternatives

Please reply by 22 August 2025. If acceptable, I propose that we sign the new agreement by 12 September and arrange a joint inventory check. If a new fixed term is not suitable, please say whether you would offer a periodic tenancy or another lawful arrangement. I understand this letter is a request, not an extension or waiver of notice.

## 5. Signature and status

My reason is stable occupation while I complete my nursing placement at Bristol Royal Infirmary, and the proposal avoids a vacant period and new referencing costs. I have not assumed eligibility for any particular tenancy protection or outcome. Yours sincerely, Sophie Green, 10 August 2025.
