# EXAMPLE: TRANSFER OF EMPLOYMENT LETTER
Date: 5 April 2028
From: Moorland Print Studio Limited, Cedar North Ventures Limited
To: Nadia Patel
## 1. Facts
From Moorland Print Studio Limited, outgoing employer, and Cedar North Ventures Limited, incoming employer, to Nadia Patel, Senior Production Planner, dated 5 April 2028.
## 2. Decision
The Sheffield print-finishing undertaking will transfer to Cedar North on 1 June 2028 under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006. Your employment will transfer automatically; you do not need to resign or sign a replacement contract.
## 3. Reasons
Your continuity, salary of £47,500, holiday balance, seniority, contractual hours and collective terms transfer subject to the statutory limits. Cedar North will receive employee liability information and protect your personal data.
## 4. Process and rights
The reason is consolidation of production planning into Cedar North's Leeds operation. The proposed measures are a new Cedar North reporting line, one Leeds site visit each week and the same 8.30 am to 5.00 pm hours; no dismissal is proposed because of the transfer.
## 5. Records and continuing matters
Nadia will attend a consultation meeting on 18 April with a companion or representative and may ask questions or propose alternatives. The employers will provide written responses and explain any genuine economic, technical or organisational measure.
## 6. Closing
On transfer, Cedar North becomes employer and will issue payroll, pension and contact details. Please continue normal duties, preserve records and direct urgent questions to Harriet Cole at Moorland or Priya Nair at Cedar North.
## 7. Acknowledgement
You may object to the transfer, but doing so normally ends employment without redundancy compensation; seek advice before deciding. This letter does not remove TUPE, Equality Act 2010 or unfair-dismissal rights. Yours sincerely, signed for both employers: ____________________.
