# VENUE AND EVENT SPACE HIRE AGREEMENT
Date: 27 June 2029
Parties: Riverside Hall Ltd and Alder & Finch LLP
## 1. Parties and purpose
Riverside Hall Ltd hires Hamilton Hall, 9 Wharf Street, London SE1 4QX to Alder & Finch LLP for its client reception on 19 September 2029. Access is 08:00 for set-up and deliveries; the event ends at 23:30 and all guests, suppliers and equipment must leave by 00:30.
## 2. Scope, price and subject
The permitted capacity is 180 seated or 250 standing, subject to the premises licence and fire-safety limit. The agreed hire fee is £3,600 plus VAT; £900 is paid on signing, £1,800 by 21 June and £900 by 5 September. A £750 damage deposit is returned within 14 days after inspection.
## 3. Operating duties
Riverside’s approved caterer provides canapés and a buffet; external caterers need written approval. Alcohol may be served only within the premises licence, with no cash bar unless separately agreed. Alder supplies final guest numbers and dietary information seven days before the event and pays approved additional costs.
## 4. Compliance, records and controls
Amplified music is permitted until 23:00 through the house limiter; acoustic background music may continue until 23:30. No outdoor sound, confetti, smoke machines, naked flames or attached decorations are allowed. Alder follows the Hall’s emergency, accessibility and safeguarding instructions and keeps clear fire exits.
## 5. Term, ending and remedies
Alder must hold £5 million public-liability insurance and obtain licences for its activities; Riverside maintains building insurance and its own public-liability cover. The parties are responsible for their contractors and indemnify the other for loss caused by their negligence or breach, subject to a reasonable agreed cap and non-excludable liability.
## 6. Liability and reservations
Cancellation more than 90 days before the event forfeits the deposit; 30–90 days costs 50% of the hire fee; under 30 days costs 100%, less sums Riverside saves. Verified force majeure permits one reschedule within 12 months or a refund of sums not irrecoverably spent. A consumer statutory right, if applicable, prevails.
## 7. Governing law and signatures
English law governs. Venue manager Saira Malik and Alder’s authorised partner Tom Ellis sign on 27 June 2029. This is a licence to use event space for the stated period, not a lease or transfer of exclusive possession, and no event may proceed beyond the capacity or licence conditions.
