# Job Evaluation Outcome Letter — Coordinator Role

Date: 19 October 2026

Parties and reference: Employer: Alder Community Services Ltd, 3 Orchard Square, Sheffield S1 2PX. Employee: Jamie Turner, Service Coordinator. Evaluation EXAMPLE-JE-44. Panel: Priya Lane and David Green.

## 1. Role and evaluation evidence

Dear Jamie, the panel evaluated the Service Coordinator role on 12 October using the internal analytical scheme JE-2 and the agreed job description dated 28 September. Evidence comprised your role questionnaire, manager interview and team workflow chart. The assessment concerns the demands of the role, not your personal performance, age, working pattern or willingness to work unpaid hours. It is not a finding that every comparable role or equal-pay question has been resolved.

## 2. Factor scores and grade

The agreed scheme produced knowledge 80 points, responsibility 90, problem-solving 70, communication 60 and working conditions 20, total 320. Under the published internal bands, Grade C covers 250 to 299 and Grade D covers 300 to 349, so this role falls in Grade D. The factor summary explains the evidence for each score and is enclosed; the scheme and anonymised calibration notes are available from HR. These are this employer's illustrative internal bands, not statutory or national pay scales.

## 3. Pay outcome and effective date

Subject to your acceptance of the pay variation below, annual full-time gross basic salary increases from £32,000 to £34,400 from 1 November 2026 for the unchanged 37.5-hour week. The increase is £2,400 annually, or £200 gross per full monthly pay period before deductions. November payroll will apply the new rate; the evaluation does not create an assumed historical arrears entitlement or remove any existing claim. Job title, continuous service, contractual hours, location and other terms remain unchanged. HR will provide the updated written particulars.

## 4. Appeal and fair reconsideration

You may appeal a factor score, missing evidence or inconsistent application by emailing hr@aldercommunity.example.com by 2 November, explaining the points challenged. Ask for an extension or accessible format if needed. An uninvolved reviewer will invite you to a meeting, permit a union representative or colleague as a companion under this policy, consider further evidence and issue a reasoned written outcome. There will be no retaliation. The appeal deadline is an internal procedure, not a reduction of statutory rights or external limitation periods.

## 5. Acceptance and records

The employer will not treat silence or acknowledgement of receipt as agreement to altered terms. Jamie Turner accepts only the stated prospective pay increase and unchanged-hours basis, without waiving an appeal or legal rights. HR will retain the evaluation and signed variation with access limited to legitimate personnel needs and the applicable retention schedule. Signed 19 October 2026: Jamie Turner, employee; Rachel Cole, HR Director for Alder Community Services Ltd. This letter is an ordinary contractual variation, not a settlement agreement or a promise of future grade progression.
