# Temporary Working Abroad Agreement — Six Weeks in Dublin
Date: 19 October 2026
Parties and reference: Employer: Cedar Software Ltd, 22 Mill Street, Bristol BS1 5PX. Employee: Erin Walsh, Software Analyst, personnel reference EXAMPLE-EW-17. Existing employment began 4 March 2024. Temporary host office: 15 Example Quay, Dublin, Ireland.
## 1. Duration, status and approval conditions
We agree a temporary assignment from 2 November to 11 December 2026 inclusive to support the Dublin client project. You remain employed by Cedar with unchanged continuous service; the client cannot vary your contract. You are an Irish citizen, but HR must still document the relevant right to work and residence position, applicable posting or registration duties and insurance before departure. Approval is conditional on those checks and the payroll and security reviews below. Do not travel or work abroad until HR confirms clearance in writing; if delayed, continue the Bristol role pending a revised agreement.
## 2. Pay, benefits and expenses
Annual gross salary remains £42,000, paid monthly in GBP to the existing payroll account, subject to legally required deductions. Pension contributions and contractual benefits continue subject to applicable scheme and legal requirements. The employer books and pays approved return economy travel and accommodation directly and reimburses receipted reasonable meals and local transport up to a total £1,350 for the assignment. There is no additional assignment bonus. Expenses must be submitted within 14 calendar days of return; no promise is made that any payment is tax-free.
## 3. Hours, safety and information security
Work Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30 Dublin local time, with a one-hour unpaid lunch, totalling 37.5 paid hours weekly. Overtime requires approval and applicable working-time and rest rules remain in force. The employer will complete a host-workstation and travel risk assessment and provide emergency contacts and suitable business travel and medical cover. Use only the encrypted company laptop, approved VPN and authorised client systems; do not download personal data to private devices or work from a different country without fresh approval.
## 4. Tax, social security and mandatory local rules
Before work starts, the employer's advisers must determine any Irish payroll withholding, employer registration, social-security certificate, reporting and corporate-tax implications and implement the required arrangements. The employee will provide accurate travel-day records and cooperate with necessary filings. A stay below 183 days does not by itself establish tax exemption, and this agreement does not transfer statutory employer duties to the employee. English law continues to govern the employment contract, without excluding mandatory Irish employment, safety or other applicable protections.
## 5. Return, early recall and agreement
Return travel is booked for 12 December, with normal Bristol duties resuming on 14 December at unchanged salary and role. The employer pays reasonable agreed return costs. Either party may request early recall for serious welfare, legal or project reasons; HR will consult promptly, arrange safe travel and confirm the revised return date, with no automatic penalty or repayment of ordinary assignment costs. No extension is assumed. All other terms remain unchanged. Signed 19 October: Erin Walsh, employee; Marcus Bell, authorised director for Cedar Software Ltd. HR clearance is a separate required pre-departure confirmation.
